“He’s Boring”: Drunk Tennis Fan Justifies Altercation With Rafael Nadal at Australian Open 2021
Day 4 at the Australian Open 2021 concluded with drama coming from off the centre as well. During the last match of the day, Rafael Nadal vs Michael Mmoh, a drunk lady caught everyone’s attention. In particular, she went all-out against the Spaniard, disturbing his rhythm until thrown out of the Rod Laver Arena.
Coming upfront, the lady has now opened up on why she teased the 20-time Grand Slam champion from Spain. And the revelation is utterly surreal.
The unwanted guest did not find the Spanish machine Rafael Nadal entertaining. Thus, she took it upon herself to do his job.
Drunk lady calls out on Rafael Nadal during a live match
The second-round win for the 34-year-old Spaniard came without any trouble. With Rafa being himself, he left Michael Mmoh no chance to settle into the match. He defeated the 23-year-old American in three straight sets 6-1, 6-4, 6-2.
However, amid the match, there had been an undesirable intermission when a lady started causing a nuisance. Clearly intoxicated, she kept hovering at Rafa until he stopped his serve.
Shedding light on her actions, the lady has no remorse. Instead, she believes that her unsavoury behaviour was due.
She said, “He’s boring… The fact pictures of me have gone viral show how boring he is.” But it went a little too far when she made an obscene gesture at the French Open king. “I just called out, “get over your OCD rituals” and that’s when I flicked him the bird.”
The Spaniard in disbelief inquired if the gesture was meant for him. At that time, he didn’t know that his bottle rituals are the reason for this trouble. Moreover, humble as ever, Nadal gave a big bright smile to the impolite lady.
Being escorted out of the arena, the lady asked for her rights to be vocal. Later on, she claimed that her daughter was not happy and that the security behaved rudely.
