CM Punk Reveals Five AEW Superstars He Would Like to Face Ahead of his Potential Pro Wrestling Return
CM Punk held another Twitter Q&A last night. Like his previous sessions, Punk had questions relating to WWE and AEW, despite leaving the squared circle back in 2014.
Punk revealed he was “lifting in the basement” and would love to answer some fan questions. Unsurprisingly, a plethora of questions poured in the comments section.
The most interesting question came from a fan when he asked Punk’s current favorites from the AEW roster who he wants to work with if he ever came back. Punk named five superstars from the company.
Punk noted that Powerhouse Hobbs of Team Taz, TNT Champion Darby Allin, Brian Pillman Jr. from Varsity Blonds, Ricky Starks of Team Taz, and Jungle Boy has potential. He wrote, “I see five guys that have potential. Hobbs, Darbs, Pillman, Starks, Jungle Boy. And that’s not to say there are others, but those guys stick out.”

Like we mentioned earlier, Punk had left the ring for seven years now. There is a huge ‘if’ on his return, be it in WWE or AEW. Even if he does, it will probably be to shape younger talents.
CM Punk reacts to Edge winning the Royal Rumble 2021
WWE Superstar and Hal of Famer Edge created quite the momentum after winning this year’s Royal Rumble. Punk, who had a brief rivalry with the “Rated-R Superstar,” reacted to the historical win.
When a fan asked his thoughts, Punk simply replied, “Super stoked for him to get a second act. And jealous of his abs.”

Edge is yet to choose his opponent for WrestleMania 37. Interestingly, Punk, despite having a very illustrious career, never won a Rumble. He once said how he was supposed to win the 2008 one before John Cena made his comeback and won the thing.
Punk will be featured in the upcoming “Heels” drama series on Starz Network, which stars actor and celebrity pro wrestler Stephen Amell. A potential return is not on the cards as of now, but we never know.
