To All The Boys: Always and Forever’s Lana Condor on future of Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky

To All The Boys star Lana Condor has spilled the beans on what she wants to happen between Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo) after the release of Always and Forever.

There is no denying that the pair cemented themselves as pop culture couple goals with the drop of the first film, To All The Boys I Loved Before, on Netflix in 2019.

Noah also briefly found himself defined as the internet’s boyfriend as fans fell in love with the fake-but-real couple plot.

The third and final film in the Netflix franchise – based on the popular books by Jenny Han – premiered on Friday, giving us a much-needed dose of their adorable love story.

The flick followed the couple as they prepare to graduate high school, and take their relationship to the next level – with Metro.co.uk giving it an impressive four stars.

During a candid chat with the New York Times, Lana was questioned on whether she would return to the role in the future – and spilled the beans on where she wants the story to go next.

‘I think never say never. [But] the third is all I know. To me, that’s the ending,’ she said. ‘But I would really like to see Lara Jean and Peter in their mid-to-late 20s. Like they’ve gone through college, and I want to see what they’re like in the work space.

‘I have this dream that Lara Jean is working in some realm of literature, I don’t know, in New York, writing, living her life. Because I personally have this feeling that they’re going to try to make it work in college, but they’re going to have to grow separately to be fully ready to come together.’

We would absolutely love another instalment in the franchise.

Lifting the lid on what could be next for her character, Lana continued: ‘But I know for a fact that they’re going to get married; they’re going to live happily ever after. I just think they might need to grow as individuals first.

‘And then I’d love to see them meeting each other again – she’s like at a cafe writing an article for a newspaper she’s working for, and he happens to be there, and they meet again in a new way where they’re older and developed. That would be so cool. If it happens, you heard it here first.’

Someone get Jenny Han on the phone immediately.

To All The Boys: Always and Forever is available to stream on Netflix now.
