iPhone 13 leak reveals NEW features never seen on any Apple phone so far
THE iPhone 13 is expected to launch later this year and it’s already surrounded with rumours and potential leaks.
One of the most recent rumours suggests the new iPhone will have an always-on display feature.
The iPhone 13 may have lots of new features not seen on the iPhone 12[/caption]
That feature was discussed in a YouTube video from EverythingApplePro EAP.
It’s now been watched half a million times.
Leaker Max Weinbach uses the video to talk about an always-on iPhone display that will show things like your battery percentage and the time even when the screen is locked.
He doesn’t suggest the screen will remain distractingly bright though.
Rumours suggest the iPhone 13 will come with its own astronomy photography mode[/caption]
Weinbach said: “it will display it just like you’re used to right now, except dimmed down and only temporarily.”
Lots of Android devices have had always-on displays for years.
Although the feature is certainly not new or high tech, it would be new for iPhone lovers who haven’t used another brand of smartphone.
The Apple Watch Series 5 was the first always-on display for an Apple device.
Weinbech’s leak video also mentions an Apple astrophotography mode to help you detect the Moon and stars.
Apparently the mode will automatically turn on when you face your camera to the sky.
Improvements to the iPhone 12’s MagSafe feature are also likely.
As with all rumours, we won’t know for sure that we’ll see these features come to life until Apple makes official comment.
iPhone tricks to try today
Here are some of the best…
- Typing cursor – When typing, hold down the space bar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, letting you move around words and sentences more easily
- Close all Safari tabs – To do this in one go, simply hold the overlapped squares in the bottom right-hand corner, and press close all tabs
- Delete lots of photos quickly – Hold down on a photo and then drag your finger diagonally in Photos to select lots of images at once, then hit delete
- Convert currency quickly – Swipe down from the top of your Home screen (or swipe left to right on an iPhone X), then tap in the bar and type a currency (like $200) and it will automatically covert to your local currency
- Check if you’re due a battery upgrade – Batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and check out the Maximum Capacity reading. Generally a battery is considered worn when you’re down to 80% capacity. If you’re below, you can buy a battery swap from Apple
- Move apps around faster – Hold an app until it starts wiggling, then (while still holding) tap other apps, causing them to stack so you can move them around easier
