Who is Joss Stone’s partner Cody DaLuz as pair welcome baby?

Joss Stone is back in the headlines after winning The Masked Singer dressed as a giant sausage.

But the star has been up to plenty over the past year, asides from belting out I Will Survive from a cone of chips.

Joss, 33, was five months pregnant when she filmed the second series of The Masked Singer UK, and welcomed her first child with Cody DaLuz on January 29.

Who is Cody DaLuz?

Cody is Joss’s American boyfriend, and the pair are believed to have started dating in early 2020.

The 31-year-old first appeared on Joss’s Instagram in August 2020, and he first shared a video of the soul singer the same month as they travelled from the States to the United Kingdom.

Cody was previously enlisted in the Marines and is from Rhode Island, while he now lives in Tennessee with Joss and their daughter Violet Melissa. 

Judging by his Instagram account, Cody is a keen traveller, with highlights from his trips to the Bahamas, Europe, Bermuda, Dubai and Thailand.

He is a Donald Trump supporter, having shared a red square on the day of the presidential election with the caption ‘Easy choice’, as well as ‘#Trump2020’ in the comments section. 

Joss confirmed that she and her boyfriend were expecting a baby in October, when she said on her podcast: ‘Guess what? I am going to have a little baby. I am week 17 and I just stopped being sick all the time.’

The You Had Me singer announced during an episode of her Facebook cookery show Cooking With Joss that she welcomed their daughter at the end of January via caesarean section.

She said: ‘Had a little bun that I’ve been making for about nine months, and it’s cooked! Here’s one we made earlier… she’s so sweet!

‘This is Violet Melissa, isn’t she sweet? She’s just fed and she’s eating her hands because that’s her little vibe, isn’t it?

‘She was breech so I had to have a C-section which was delightful… I’m tired. Cody has been amazing, totally worth it. They had to take her out the sunroof which was quick.’

Cody celebrated the birth of his and Joss’s daughter with a post shared in early February, reading: ‘I have no words to describe my joy and happiness. I have a house full of perfect woman and thats all a man needs.’

The Masked Singer judges were left stunned on Saturday night when Joss was unmasked as Sausage after winning the competition.

Sheridan Smith and Stacey Solomon had been the hot favourites to be unmasked, so there were gasps all round when the Grammy-nominated star was unveiled beneath the Sausage costume.
