Caroline Flack ‘Kindness’ hoodies raise over £50,000 for mental health charity on anniversary of her death
In The Style’s ‘Kindness’ collection in honour of Caroline Flack has raised over £50,000 for those struggling with mental health in just over 24 hours.
Monday marked the one-year anniversary of Caroline’s death. She died on February 15, 2020 by suicide at her home in North London aged 40.
To honour the late presenter, online retailer In The Style launched their ‘Kindness’ collection on Sunday, where 100% of all profits made from the designs on offer will be donated to Samaritans.
It includes T-shirts and hoodies encouraging others to ‘be kind’, with reality stars including Shaughna Phillips, Olivia Buckland and former Dancing On Ice star Billie Faiers all pictured wearing some of the collection on the brand’s Instagram page.
Announcing their plans to drop the collection on Caroline’s anniversary, In The Style revealed earlier this week: ‘One of the biggest things we’ve learnt over the past year is just how important it is to ‘Be Kind’ and even more so now than ever.
‘As a brand we feel it’s really important that we ensure we use our platform to spread positivity and raise awareness to key matters.’
In The Style had launched its ‘Be Kind’ T-shirts last year, following Caroline’s death, with the designs raising over £400,000 in total for Samaritans.
‘The money raised with your help, contributed to helping over 80,000 people 🙏 This year we want to continue to show our support even more…💕 We’re pleased to announce that we’re launching The ‘Kindness’ Collection this Sunday with 100% of profits from ALL sales being donated to @samaritanscharity ✨,’ the brand revealed.
‘We hope not only will this raise money for an amazing charity, but also spread awareness and a really positive message!💕’
It was later revealed that in just 24 hours the latest collection had raised thousands of pounds in donations to help those who are struggling.
The new drop came as Caroline’s friends were seen paying tribute to the Love Island host, including her ex-boyfriend Lewis Burton.
The official Twitter account for Love Island posted an image of Caroline, alongside: ‘Remembering Caroline 1979-2020. Always in our hearts.’
Caroline had hosted Love Island for five series, following its comeback in 2015.

Channel 4 has since revealed plans to air a documentary following Caroline’s life and death, with the show including testimonials from her friends and family – including an emotional appearance from Olly Murs, who is seen breaking down in tears in the documentary’s trailer.
Caroline’s mother Christine, her twin sister Jody and her Xtra Factor co-star Dermot O’Leary also feature in the trailer, sharing their memories of her.
The documentary was first announced last year, with Lee McMurray, who commissioned the programme, stating: ‘After working closely with Caroline throughout 2019, we agreed to make a film with her that would tell her story and reveal what it’s like to live in the glare of such intense scrutiny.
‘Sadly, that film will never be made. We hope this project will be a testament to Caroline’s character, work and legacy, and we’re deeply grateful to her family and friends for their involvement.’
Her twin sister Jody, and her Xtra Factor co-star Dermot O’Leary also appear in the trailer, speaking about their memories of her.
A release date of the documentary is yet to be confirmed.
