I’m stockpiling sleeping pills from my doctor and planning an overdose

DEAR DEIDRE: I’M stockpiling sleeping pills from my doctor and planning an overdose.

I have been depressed for years and turned to cocaine to block it out.

I did manage to quit the drugs but turned to them again late last year and have hit them hard.

I’m upset all the time and cry when I am alone, almost daily. I am working from home doing a job in sales which I hate.

I’m not doing that well at it either.

I’m a 32-year-old man. If I lose this job it’s another reason to end things. I don’t see a way out nor do I particularly care any more.

My friends just think I’m being silly about everything.

I’ve been suicidal for years and haven’t spoken to anyone about how low I really feel. I can’t live like this much longer.
