Married At First Sight Australia fans were left divided as explosive scenes played out between Jessika Power and Mike Gunner at the latest dinner party.

Season six of MAFS Australia is currently playing out for UK viewers on E4, with Tuesday’s episode seeing the couples come together for yet another dinner party – fresh from the drama that bubbled over as the guys and girls caught up separately for a night out.

Worried that her affair with Dan Webb would be exposed, Jess decided to drop a bombshell on Ning Surasiang and claimed that their respective husbands Mick Gould and Mark Scriven were planning on ‘getting a load of women’ on a road trip following the show.

Floored by the claims, Ning confronted Mark and the duo planned to discuss it privately with Mick and Jess to get to the bottom of what was said.

However, they didn’t get a chance as Mike was seen probing Jess on the claims as the couples gathered together ahead of dinner and called his co-star ‘weak’, as she said she didn’t want to discuss it in front of the group.

Sat next to each other at dinner, things then turned personal between Mike and Jess at dinner, with fans divided over Mike’s approach.

While some were all for him calling out Jess and her tendency to stir things up between the group, others didn’t agree with Mike and questioned why he was ‘so’ bothered.

‘Living for Mike calling jess out and telling her a few home truths #teammike,’ one viewer tweeted.

Another added: ‘Is it just me currently cheering Mike on, for the first time ever?’

‘Mike really turned up to this dinner party with his eyeliner and his sass. First time ive ever applauded the guy (sic),’ posted one fan, while another agreed: ‘Yes Mike. Lay down the BEEF.’

As Mike’s exchange with Jess got more and more heated – and he was seen making jibes at her ‘trout pout’ and her love of Instagram – some viewers didn’t agree with his behaviour.

‘At some point you’ve got to be held accountable for what you say. It’s called a comeuppance. It’s not about instagram and selfies and trout pouts,’ Mike was seen telling Jess.

‘Why is Mike SO bothered though #MAFSAustralia,’ tweeted one viewer.

‘Mike is digging up all kinds of old issues with Jess,’ claimed another fan.

As Mike’s wife Heidi called out his actions and claimed he acts the same way with her, the experts slammed Mike for his attitude towards Jess.

It led to one viewer pointing out: ‘So the experts recognise when Mike is condescending to Jess, but not to Heidi?’

‘Isn’t it IRONIC it’s taken Jess situation for John to see how Mike doesn’t listen or respect Heidi. A bit late to be taking her side now when you was blaming her for feeling the way she does ….. #MAFSAustralia,’ another agreed.

Jess and Mike locked horns as he pushed her to explain the claims she made to Ning about Mark lying to her.

‘Mike seems to think that he has some ungodly reason to give out what he thinks is gospel, I owe you nothing Mike, I owe the group nothing,’ Jess vented.

She insisted the conversation had nothing to do with Mike, with him hitting back: ‘It’s got something to do with me, when [Mark] came in tonight he was really down… I go right to the source, it seems you’re the source. Leave everyone else’s relationships to yourself. Stick to your knitting.’

Not holding back, Mike later fired at Jess: ‘Words are powerful, people need to understand that… it’s part of becoming an adult, you have to be accountable for what you say. You’re in denial.’

Married At First Sight Australia is available to steam on All 4.
