New teasers have been released for the eighth season of Married At First Sight Australia… and the new brides and grooms are looking as nervous as ever as they prepare to walk down the aisle.
In recent weeks, season six of MAFS Australia – which originally aired in 2019 – has proven a massive hit in the UK on E4, with viewers drawn in by the drama of a show that sees people meet their spouse for the first time on the day of their wedding.
In the Land Down Under, fans of the series are going to be introduced to a line-up of new couples when season eight premieres next week, with newly-released teasers showing just how anxious the participants are feeling about taking part.
In the first teaser – which shows the stars being driven to their nuptials – a couple of the brides smile nervously while admitting to feeling apprehensive about their decision, with one of them stating: ‘Teeny tiny bit of cold feet.’
One of the brides seems to be in high spirits as she practises how she’s going to introduce herself to her partner, saying: ‘Hey, I’m Coco. Just like a chocolate milkshake, only crunchy.’
‘I feel sick,’ another says, fanning herself to try and stay cool.

One of the women admits to her dad that her ‘hands are wet with sweat’, remarking: ‘That’s gross, isn’t it?’
Meanwhile, another appears to be on the verge of vomiting over the idea of marrying a complete stranger, stating: ‘I think I’m gonna throw up.’
In another teaser featuring the grooms, the gravity of what they’re about to do appears to start dawning on them, with one of them saying: ‘It definitely feels real now.’
One of the grooms expresses his hope that his marriage with his unknown bride will work out, saying: ‘Just scared of it not working. Just the fear of failure really.’
However, another appears to be feeling confident about what his future holds, stating: ‘I’m definitely ready to meet my wife.’
As we’ve come to learn with Married At First Sight, you never know what directions the love stories of the couples are going to take.
But one thing’s for sure – the show is guaranteed to bring a whole lot of cringe-worthy moments and tantalising drama.
MAFS Australia season eight begins on Monday February 22 in Australia on Nine.
