Nicola Sturgeon reveals some schools will go back from Monday but Scotland’s lockdown could be EXTENDED

SOME kids in Scotland will return to school next week – but the lockdown may be extended, Nicola Sturgeon said today.

The Scottish First Minister confirmed plans to get more kids back into the classrooms, but stopped short of revealing a full plan for easing lockdown.

Nicola Sturgeon today confirmed some kids would return to school next week as she hoped

But she said that 100 per cent normal wouldn’t be possible yet as the pandemic continues.

She said there would be “trade offs” involved in getting kids back in school.

“Children’s education and wellbeing is such an over-riding priority,” she stressed.

But it means that other rules will be likely to stay in place for longer to balance that out, she added.
