Tracy Beaker Bouncer Plakova actor Ben Hanson looks totally unrecognisable after incredible weight loss journey

TRACY Beaker star Ben Hanson looks totally unrecognisable after his incredible weight loss journey.

The actor – who is most well known for his role as ‘Bouncer’ Plakova in the CBBC drama – has completely changed his look from when he first hit our screens in 2003.

Ben, 35, was one of the main cast members in The Story of Tracy Beaker from season two to four, and then became a reoccurring character in the final series.

Sixteen years on and the star looks like a completely different person.

Since his stint of the children TV series ended, he’s landed himself some roles in pantomime and presented a bit on CBBC.

Over the past three years Ben has become a huge fitness fanatic and turned himself into a mean lean muscle machine.

Many will remember Ben as Bouncer in Tracy Beaker

His Instagram proudly documents his journey and he recently showed off his hard work in the gym with a topless before and after selfie.

Ben told his followers: “Transformation Tuesday… 3 years difference, less sunburn and a ton more focus. Bring back the sun and outdoor training…

“My results come from being consistent with my training and my nutrition. I’m so proud of my journey so far but I have some serious work to from Xmas….”

Back in July the theatre star updated his fans with his journey with yet another before and after snap – and the difference is insane.

Ben also enjoys taking part in 21 day shred challenges to shift some weight[/caption]

He captioned the post: “Half naked idiot alert My body shape is an ongoing battle. These two photos are taken, only two months apart and are the results of two back to back challenges.

“I am 35 in September and am in the best shape of my life and have just signed up to a third challenge.

“I am now also a qualified PT and am desperate to help others who want to embark on a life changing, weight loss journey.

“If you want any help, assistance or advice please just reach out. I can honestly say I have never felt better and will continue the progression because that is what it’s all about, progress not perfection.”

Ben also uses Instagram to share other aspects of his life with his fans.

He loves to spend time with his girlfriend Lily Arabella, who also enjoys working up a sweat in the gym.

The brunette beauty has been on the scene since he first uploaded a snap of her on his grid back in August 2020.

Tracy Beaker fans will be happy to know that Ben is still pals with Louise Goven actress Chelsie Padley and they love to keep fit together.

During the first UK lockdown, when everything was shut down to stop the spread of the coronavirus, the star took to Instagram to pay tribute to his mate.

He captioned a sweaty snap of them together: “Missing the gym but missing my gym buddy, kicking my ass more….”

Ben’s transformation comes after Dani Harmer’s epic return to our screens as the iconic Tracy Beaker.

The actress is starring in a new CBBC show called My Mum Tracy Beaker – which hit our screens last Friday.

My Mum Tracy Beaker broke record ratings with 2.1 million viewers streaming the programme on iPlayer when it premiered.

The franchise, which first began in 1991 when Jacqueline Wilson wrote a book of the same name, includes six books, three TV series, a number of spin-offs and a TV movie.

The Story of Tracy Beaker was followed by Tracy Beaker Returns and The Dumping Ground – which is still on air now.
