Married At First Sight ‘cheater’ Sam Ball has been defended by love rival Bronson Norrish – who revealed he knew about his affair with Ines Basic right from the start.

Sam has been viciously trolled by viewers of the dramatic series, which is currently airing in the UK on E4, after he was seen ditching his own wife to get close to Bronson’s partner, Ines.

However, Bronson has spoken out to back Sam after the scenes aired – saying Sam had an ‘unfair edit’ from bosses and even approached him before cracking on with Ines to give him a heads up.

‘Out of everyone in the show he did try and warn me about the affair,’ Bronson told Express.co.uk.

‘He pulled me aside before the affair started and let me know that Ines had contacted him, and that the producers were pushing forward and wanting them to have the affair.’

Despite Sam’s ‘marriage’ to Elizabeth Sobinoff, he was seen cuddling up in bed with Ines – sparking outcry in 2019 when the show aired in Aus, and again now that it’s made it’s way over to the UK.

But Sam has maintained throughout that he never had sex with any of the women on the show, and that producers set up scenes to make it look like he was a womaniser.

Since a new string of online insults, he later spoke out on Instagram and said that the series – which sees strangers getting married and trying to make it work – was a complete set-up.

Sam confessed that he was ‘asked’ to go along with the affair storyline, and wasn’t that fussed about what he looked like, seeing his appearance simply as an acting job.

‘They pulled me into a dark room, a black room, and asked me to do the Ines thing. They set that up,’ he said. ‘They made Ines DM me on the phone, that was all staged.

‘I throw her on the bed on that date night, not even five seconds later, the producers come in and de-mic you.

‘I didn’t sleep with Ines that night, that didn’t happen. I didn’t sleep with anyone on the show.’

He also alleged that producers told him to make rude comments about wife Elizabeth on their wedding day – when he famously declared she was ‘bigger’ than other women he had dated in the past – and that he simply meant ‘taller’.

‘I didn’t want to fat shame her at all. That’s not what my intentions were,’ he explained.

‘They asked me to say it. They were the ones that said, “Sam, she’s a big girl mate, what are you doing?”

‘That’s messed up, they shouldn’t do that. It’s all bulls**t.’

Married At First Sight Australia airs weekdays from 7.30pm on E4.
