Carol Vorderman has been inundated with messages on dating app Raya after she joined for a laugh.

The former Countdown queen said dating apps aren’t really her scene, but some friends convinced her to join – and turns out she was pretty popular.

The 60-year-old revealed that plenty of men and women were shooting their shot, and who can blame them?

‘A mate of mine said it would be a laugh,’ she said. ‘A lot of LA people made contact, men and women funnily enough, but it’s not my scene.

‘I’m quite happy with my usual way of doing things. But life is never dull,’ she added to The Sun.

Carol, who is clearly loving life after celebrating her 60th birthday, has previously made it clear that she’s not looking for a relationship right now, and is loving being single.

In fact, when asked last month whether she was looking to settle down, she didn’t mince her words, telling The Telegraph: ‘The thought of sharing my life with someone again makes me feel positively sick.’

So that’s that!

However, she’s no stranger to love, having been married twice before.

Carol first tied the knot with Christopher Mather in 1985 before splitting in 1986. She was then married to Patrick King from 1990 to 2000 and the pair had two children together – PhD student Katie, 29, and Masters student Cameron, 23.

She was also in a relationship with naval officer Graham Duff but they split in 2016.

When previously asked if she’d be willing to walk down the aisle again, Carol responded to the Daily Mail: ‘Would I marry again? Honestly, I just can’t see it.

‘I am always on the move and I have a pretty low boredom threshold. My happiness doesn’t depend on being part of a couple, I know that.’

Clearly for now, Carol is loving the single life.
