RuPaul’s Drag Race star Tina Burner has opened up about her ‘amazing’ romance with Graham Norton.

The drag queen, who is currently taking part in the reality show’s 13th season, began an on-and-off relationship with the presenter sometime in the early 2000s and even moved to the UK to live with him, until they split for good in 2006.

Tina – real name Kristian Seeber – has now spoken more about their relationship in the latest Drag Race episode – and she had nothing but nice things to say about Graham.

While the contestants were all getting ready for Social Media: The Unverified Rusical, Tina’s co-star Rose proceeded to ask her: ‘Miss Tina, didn’t you date somebody rather famous in the UK?’, while also referring to their time together as a ‘fling of some sorts’.

Tina responded: ‘I love how you say fling. I was in a relationship.

‘Graham is so famous, he’s at that level where your life is just like put on a platform. He’s such a great guy and it never ever got to him. It was the most amazing thing.

‘I remember people passing judgement on me right away when they don’t even know: “Are you after his money? Are you this? Are you that?” I mean people want to draw their own opinions.’

Fellow drag queen Gottmilk then proceeded to ask if there were any paparazzi photos of the couple – and while there very much is, Tina reckons the pictures are ‘horrible’ due to her ‘flat rounded hair’.

Graham, 57, had previously spoken about their time together in his memoir The Life and Loves of a He Devil, which was published in 2014.

And although he had described their relationship as a ‘whirlwind romance’, he also stated it was a ‘disaster’, and claimed that his friends did not approve of Tina – or Kristian.

In the book, Graham reflected on meeting Kristian for the first time in the Barracuda bar in New York City, in which he described him as ‘tall and broad-shouldered with an easy smile that took up half his face’.

He also stated that if Kristian ‘were to be judged solely on his behaviour, then I concede he was no great boyfriend material’.

However, he did add: ‘When they [his friends] couldn’t see the special spark that fires within him: when he decides to shine his light on you, it makes you feel as special as he is.’

Season 13 of RuPaul’s Drag Race is available to stream on Netflix.
