Watch 17 seconds of sheer carnage that stuns punters as two horses fall and jockey gets dumped to turf at Uttoxeter

PUNTERS were stunned at 17 seconds of pure carnage that saw two horses fall and a jockey get dumped to the turf.

Fortunately all those involved in the chaos were up and OK after the flashpoint at Uttoxeter.

Hammond took a tumble from Little Rory Mac to kick start the chaos

The ‘madness’ started when Dr Richard Newland’s 3-1 leader Little Rory Mac took a tumble.

Jockey Charlie Hammond was sent hurtling to the groud in the fall, which left Maid O’Malley in the lead with Discko Des Plages.

Unfortunately for Sam Coltherd on 9-1 chance Maid O’Malley he went flying at the very next fence.

But the action did not stop there.

William Kennedy – who was gifted the lead after Maid O’Malley’s blunder – lost control and was unseated from his 7-2 shot.

Jeremy Scott’s Bang On – a 12-1 shot – was pulled up too, which meant only two horses were left in the race.

Exelerator Express, the pre-race 13-8 favourite, benefited the most as Sean Bowen eased him into the lead.

And despite being a way off the pace before the dramatic tumbles, he cruised past the post 15 lengths in front of 11-1 chance Knight Destroyer.

But all punters were talking about was the carnage that unfolded before.

One said: “Madness at Uttoxeter.”

Another posted: “Incredible scenes at Uttoxeter.”

One comment read: “What the hell has happened at Uttoxeter?”

A fellow punter said: “F***ing hell scenes at Uttoxeter.”

And another wrote: “What a race at Uttoxeter! Nice when it’s in your favour.”

The action was similar to a race at Fontwell this week, where a 700-1 in-running winner stole the show after the leader fell when miles clear.

Similarly, only two horses from the seven that started finished that race too.
