Finding Alice came to an end tonight leaving many fans thirsty for more episodes.

The six-part series starring Keeley Hawes followed Alice (Hawes) in the aftermath of the death of her husband and partner of 20 years, Harry, who died falling down the stairs in their dream home.

The closing chapter left viewers with burning questions with the nation desperate to know whether or not it will be getting another series.

But will the ITV comedy-drama be returning for another innings?

Will there be a second series of Finding Alice?

ITV has not yet announced whether Finding Alice has been renewed for a second series.

Charlotte actress Isabella Pappas previously told Metro.co.uk that the show’s gripping cliffhanger lends itself for another chapter.

‘The thing that I find so interesting in terms of the writing is that you’ve got all these questions that you want to be answered,’ she told us.

‘And then, when you finally get the answers in the last episode, something even bigger happens and you’re like, “Oh no. I want the answer to that now”.

‘So all of these tiny answers kind of come together to create one bigger kind of question.’

She added: ‘You want more which I think is good because then that opens it up. It would be amazing if we did season two.’

Actress Joanna Lumley, who plays Alice’s mum Sarah, is also keeping her fingers crossed the show does make a return.

‘I don’t know yet, because it hasn’t quite finished airing, and I think that it hasn’t been commissioned yet,’ she told The One Show viewers earlier this month.

‘If it has, I don’t know.

‘So we keep our fingers crossed like all these things. You just never know what’s in the offing, but I’m so thrilled [to be part of the series].’

Finding Alice is available to stream on the ITV Hub.
