Lauren Goodger has called Dancing on Ice judges ‘vile’, eight years after she was compared to ‘a walrus’ on the ITV show.

The former TOWIE star appeared on the competition in 2013, and is still unhappy about the criticism she received for her performances at the time.

During one routine at the time, former judge Jason Gardiner commented on her dance with professional partner Michael Zenezini, saying she had ‘all the sensuality of a walrus on ice’ and scoring her three out of 10.

Taking to social media during highlights show Dancing on Ice: The Greatest Show On Ice, Lauren and former Dancing On Ice winner Jake Quicken spoke about the competition on Twitter, with Lauren criticising the judges.

Jake wrote: ‘Gutted watching dancing on Ice tonight, had so many amazing memories and unfortunately didn’t get to see any!!…

‘I guess they have loads of footage to fit in to 2 hours!!! Always have the amazing memories though! Good to watch tonight, been some incredible skaters’.

Lauren then responded, saying: ‘Same as me I was hoping would show my year of me… and my training and performances!!…

‘Def needed a dif partner would of been funny to show my [tears] and nerves lol but also a good performance and how vile the judges were – no need back then!’

Lauren was secretly pregnant while competing on Dancing on Ice, and confirmed years later she was expecting her ex Jake McLean’s baby at the time and tragically suffered a miscarriage.

Talking about her traumatic experience she said: ‘I was on a TV show that was quite intense when that happened. I had to try and perform and I was quite far gone.’

Addressing how she was able to deal with the heart-breaking situation, she recalled, ‘I’m the type of person that if something happens, I deal with it and move on. That’s how I am. And I feel at that time, I was working – not on purpose – it was just how my life was going. It’s not something I really addressed. I just carried on.’

Meanwhile, Dancing on Ice is flux after Jason Donovan became the latest in a long line of stars to pull out of the competition with injury.

Dancing On Ice airs on Sundays at 6pm on ITV
