Four years ago today Little Mix were performing at The Brits and despite being in lockdown, Jade Thirlwall made sure to mark the moment… by digging out her old stage outfit.

Cast your minds back to 2017 and you’ll remember Little Mix gracing the stage at the annual awards to deliver that iconic performance of Shout Out To My Ex.

Y’know the one – the girls were carried in on metallic thrones before storming their way onto the stage, decked out in galactic-inspired getups, flanked by an army of female silver soldiers.

Things kicked off with a pretty cool dance break and the track was arguably the anthem of the year, with Shout Out To My Ex going on to win best British single at The Brits that year.

So, it’s no surprise that Jade felt inclined to keep her stage costume and what better occasion to bring it out again than lockdown, right?

Getting all dressed up to sit of her sofa (because who doesn’t these days?), Jade was seen hilariously rocking her jazzy corset over her loungewear.

She told fans: ‘4 years to the day of this iconic @Brits performance.’

It then inspired her to share all her looks from that year, including her red carpet looks from 2017 and 2018, with Jade revealing the wardrobe mishaps she secretly suffered too.

Turns out Jade accidentally got stuck into her Stella McCartney dress during a fitting in Nashville, with the singer joking: ‘There’s no fear like breaking a zip on a designer dress.’

While she was fitted for the gorgeous strapless black design in 2017, she didn’t actually end up wearing that dress until the following year.

It was a slinky white wrap number that got the call up in 2017, with Jade sharing a funny photo of her popping out of her frock at the end of the night.

‘She had a good night,’ she teased alongside a crying laughing emoji.

It’s been four years since then and a lot can change – mostly Little Mix’s lineup, as Jesy Nelson confirmed her exit from the girlband in December last year.

Jesy told fans that she was leaving Little Mix after nine years, as she wanted to focus on her mental health after feeling ‘too much’ pressure being part of a girl group.

Jade, Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock supported her decision and are now continuing on as a trio. The girls addressed fan’s following Jesy’s announcement and said: ‘After an amazing 9 years together Jesy has made the decision to leave Little Mix. This is an incredibly sad time for all of us but we are fully supportive of Jesy. We love her very much and agree that it is so important that she does what is right for her mental health and well-being.

‘We are still very much enjoying our Little Mix journey and the 3 of us are not ready for it to be over. We know that Jesy leaving the group is going to be really upsetting news for our fans. We love you guys so much and are so grateful for your loyalty and continued support of all of us. We’re looking forward to seeing so many of you on tour.’

Little Mix were due to head out on their Confetti tour this year, but recently confirmed dates have now been pushed back until 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The decision was made for the ‘health and safety’ of the fans and crew, with Little Mix revealing on Twitter: ‘You know how much we love being on the road and performing every night for you all.

‘However, due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, we must prioritise the safety of our fans and crew and help to stop the spread.

‘Therefore we’re so sad to say that the Confetti tour will be postponed to April 2022.’
