BTS perform surprise cover of Coldplay’s Fix You on MTV Unplugged
BTS made their highly anticipated appearance on MTV Unplugged and treated fans to a haunting cover version of Coldplay classic Fix You.
The seven-member K-pop group, made up of RM, Jin, Jimin, V, J-Hope, Suga and Jungkook, hoped their version of the 2005 song would ‘comfort’ their fans as it had comforted them through a challenging year.
Live from Seoul, South Korea, BTS performed brand new versions of songs from their latest comeback BE.
Performing their set in a room where they played arcade game which later changed to an outdoor-themed backdrop, the group sang Telepathy and Blue & Grey live for the first time.
They also sang their laidback single Life Goes On in a living room with a live band accompanying them.
The finale was an upbeat performance of their English-language single Dynamite.
The Fake Love stars recently opened up about their incredible success over the last few years.
Appearing in the latest instalment of Apple Music Essentials, RM told Zane Lowe: ‘At least we’ve got six people beside us that understand each other, not perfectly, but I’m really grateful that I have these six people.’
J-Hope added: ‘Honestly, at this moment, I feel like I am living a life to fulfil a calling.
