Gemma Collins confesses criminal activity she’s been doing all her life
Gemma Collins has revealed she’s been opening other people’s post ‘all my life’ in tonight’s episode of Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable.
After confessing that she never wears the same piece of underwear twice, the Towie star told the panel, which consisted of Tom Allen and Darren Harriott, of the extreme lengths she took to catch a cheating boyfriend.
Sharing her story, Gemma said that she once stuck her hand through her partner’s letterbox to retrieve his phone bill to see the numbers he’d been calling.
‘Yes he was cheating on me,’ she said.
‘The phone bill was a fortune, it was like £750. It also turned out he was calling the premium sex lines as well. So I got rid. That was it. I did ring one of the numbers.’
The panel then pointed out that it’s a criminal offence to open up people’s mail without their consent.
‘Can you get arrested for opening up other people’s post?’ Gemma asked, confused.
‘I’ve done it all my life.’
‘Is Gemma going home in cuffs?’ laughed Darren.
The Postal Services Act 2000 states that it is illegal to open someone’s post, or delay it reaching the owner.
Elsewhere on the show, Gemma said that her assistant gets rid of her underwear for her after she’s worn them once.
‘I don’t like the way they feel after one wash,’ she disclosed. ‘I haven’t got time to wash them. I just like a fresh pair every time I go out.’
‘I’m a sinner,’ Gemma added. ‘I’m a bad girl and coming on this show could be really therapeutic for me.’
Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable airs Tuesdays at 10pm on Dave.
