Phillip Schofield has made a plan of things he wants to do as lockdown eases and he is looking forward to being able to ‘hug everyone’ again.

The This Morning host, 58, shared a photo of a ‘kitchen notes’ chalkboard on which he’d highlighted the key dates, telling his followers: ‘My roadmap, never has something so simple felt so important.’

On it, he’d written: ‘March 8th sit on a bench outside with one friend, March 29th invite six people to the garden. See mum/see family.’

He continued: ‘April 12th haircut/ have a drink and eat outside! May 17th Go to the cinema, have two households over. Holiday? Eat in a restaurant!’

Phillip’s most hopeful point was for the final stage of Boris Johnson’s plan to remove all lockdown measures, adding: ‘June 21st Hug everyone!!!??’

His post comes after the Prime Minister detailed the staged easing of lockdown which will hopefully end with all restrictions being lifted on June 21 providing all criteria are met and coronavirus cases are low enough.

Phillip and his co-host Holly Willoughby also discussed what they were looking forward to once restrictions are over, with Holly asking Phil on This Morning: ‘What are you going to do first?’

He replied: ‘I just want someone to sit in the garden with!’ She then joked: ‘You can do that before though.

‘The 21st?… It’s a Monday, the first thing I am going to do is hug you. I might lick your face, just because I can!’

Phillip replied: ‘Can you imagine how weird… That means I could pick [my chair] up and come and sit over there [with you].

‘That will be the truest sign, after all we have been through – staying on air, still holding on by our fingernails, incredible crews. That will be the sign that life is going back to normal to me.’

Currently, the plan is for schools to reopen on March 8, non-essential retail can opne on April 12 as well as outdoor seating for pubs and restaurants, with indoor hospitality and overseas travel to return on May 17 and all final restrictions to be lifted on June 21, providing it is safe to do so.
