Boardmasters Festival 2021 looks set for go-ahead after Covid lockdown lifts

BOARDMASTERS Festival looks set to finally go-ahead in 2021 after lockdown.

The 53,000-capacity event at Watergate Bay, Cornwall, is due to take place from August 11 to August 15 – almost two months after Boris Johnson hopes all restrictions will be lifted.

The event is due to take place at Watergate Bay, Cornwall, in August

The festival’s organisers gave a glimmer of hope on social media yesterday, declaring there was “light at the end of the tunnel” adding: “#seeyouatthebeach”.

It will be the first time three years the event has taken place, having been cancelled in both 2019 and 2020.

On Monday Boardmasters festival organisers Vision Nine announced they were pleased with the Government’s planned lifting of lockdown measures. They said there would be more news soon.
