Chris Hemsworth melted our hearts with his latest Instagram post – his son calling him his ‘special friend’ in a piece of school work.

The Avengers actor, 37, is dad to three kids he shares with his wife of over 10 years Elsa Pataky; daughter India, eight, and twins Sasha and Tristan, six.

While Chris has made a conscious effort not to reveal the identity of his children on social media, that doesn’t stop him from sharing adorable updates on his family life with fans – all with his kids’ faces concealed.

Chris’ latest post saw him take a photo of son Tristan’s school work after being moved by what his boy wrote about him and no, you’re crying.

Granted what Tristan wrote doesn’t really make sense, but the sentiment is there and it was enough to get his super cool, plays a superhero dad to tear up.

The page read: ‘Big write. My special friend is dad. Together we go in the pool. Together they make me feel happy.’

One proud papa, Chris captioned his post: ‘My little boys creative writing
“My special friend is dad, together we go in the pool, together they make me feel happy” ❤️😭.’

Instantly fans melted and Chris was inundated with comments telling him just how cute his post was, with many calling Tristan’s work ‘beautiful’ and the ‘sweetest’.

After making it in Hollywood, Chris made the conscious decision to move his family back to his native Australia from the US, as his home is where he’s always wanted his kids to grow up.

‘It’s all about you before kids,’ Chris told Australian site The Father Hood. ‘And then you have children and you still try to hang onto that, you say, “I am who I am,” [but] then it goes out the window.’

He explained that now when he’s working, his decisions on what roles to take will be based on how much the job will affect his family, where it’s located, how long it requires to be away from home and the amount of time it will take up.

Revealing what he hopes his kids will think of him when they look back on their childhood, Chris told the publication: ‘My dream would be for them to talk about me as a parent one day and say that he was always there, he played with us, he was present, he listened, he paid attention.’

Chris, who lives with his family in Byron Bay in New South Wales, is currently filming for the fourth Thor movie, titled Thor: Love and Thunder, which is shooting in Sydney.

Chris will be joined onscreen by Natalie Portman, who is returning as Jane Foster, and Chris Pratt, who is reprising his Guardians of the Galaxy role Star-Lord, for the film directed by Taika Waititi.

To prepare for Thor, Chris has been seen working hard in the gym, with Pratt teasing his co-star over his incredibly ripped physique.

When Chris uploaded a picture of him lifting up a huge tyre and showing off his bulging biceps, Pratt hilariously responded by begging him to quit it in the gym,

‘Hey bud. Just heard from my trainer and he needs you to stop working out because since we’re gonna be in the same movie and everything he doesn’t want me to stand next to you if you look like that. So I’m gonna need you to put on 25lbs real quick cool thanks.’

Thor: Love And Thunder is scheduled for release in February 2022.
