Ghetts had heads turning in Central London on Wednesday as the rapper rode a self-propelled gun through the capital to promote his new album, Conflict of Interest.

The rapper, 36, was seen aboard an Abbot with the album name spray painted on the side as he filmed a video in the middle of Oxford Street.

The stunt comes as Ghetts, real name Justin Clarke, aims to close in on the number one spot on the Official Charts this week.

Mogwai’s As The Love Continues is currently in the top spot but yesterday’s Official Charts update showed that Conflict Of Interest had climbed to number two.

Ghetts was seen giving it a final push in the military vehicle, as he was spotted riding on the outside of the Abbot, surrounded by military personnel.

He also revealed on his Instagram that he was in ‘campaign mode’ as his album was projected onto landmarks around London.

Ghetts told the Official Charts Company what it meant to have such a strong midweek position: ‘The evolution has been amazing, everything I’ve gone through is for a reason and I believe that.

‘God’s timing is everything, and who God bless no man can curse, with that being said who I am today wouldn’t be possible without the support of all of you.

‘This isn’t just about first week sales, it’s about where we go from there after, how much further we can push the boundaries. I thank all who’ve supported thus far, we’re about to take this to the next level.’

Conflict Of Interest is Ghetts’ third studio album and is set to be his highest-charting release yet, following 2014’s Rebel With A Cause and 2018’s Ghetto Gospel – The New Testament, which were both in the top 40.
