It has been two months since Jesy Nelson’s departure from Little Mix left fans distraught across the globe.

But Mixers can finally rejoice as the singer shared an exciting behind the scenes peek into what seemed to be her very own solo career.

In a short clip shared to her Instagram Stories on Friday, the 29-year-old was clearly in a jovial mood as she joked around in the studio with producer Patrick Jordan-Patrikios.

Brit-nominated Patrikios, who previously worked with Little Mix on their albums Glory Days and LM5, was seen cheekily smiling for the camera.

Proving that she had some of the best talents in the business working with her, Jesy also tagged multi-platinum selling producer and songwriter Sunny.

Jesy initially hinted at launching her own solo career earlier this month after sharing an Instagram story of herself sitting in the studio with two producers at the mixing decks.

The Woman Like Me singer quit Little Mix in December, explaining that she felt too much ‘pressure’ being in the girl group and would be taking time out to focus on her mental health.

Jesy explained in a statement at the time ‘The past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life…

She continued: ‘There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focussing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process.

‘The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.’

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall are continuing on as a three-piece and are preparing to embark on their Confetti tour in 2022.
