WWE’s King Corbin looks unrecognisable after incredible body transformation with beard and full head of hair
WWE superstar King Corbin is one of the most recognisable faces on Friday Night SmackDown, and he’s been all over the company’s programming for years now.
The former United States Champion and 2019 King of the Ring winner already underwent a pretty significant image overhaul when he ditched his long hair for the shaven head look.
However, Corbin looked very different a decade ago – fair enough, really – when he was still chasing an American Football career as an offensive guard.
In an old picture unearthed by talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy on Twitter, the athlete can be seen posing with a fan sporting a short but full head of hair and a big, bushy beard with no moustache.
What’s also evident is the way he’s transformed his figure, as Corbin looked to be significantly bulkier for his football run, while he appears to have toned up for his move into wrestling.
Either way, you wouldn’t bet against him.
Although he’s not captured the elusive world championship yet – you’d assume it’s a matter of time – he has won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania, held the Money In The Bank briefcase and even stood face to face with The Rock.
In the past Corbin has been open about how social media criticism fuelled his fire and inspired him to push fans’ buttons as much as possible.
He told Digital Spy in 2019: ‘I’ve always had thick skin. I’m lucky I guess because people can’t hurt my feelings. Social media is kind of a double-edged sword because you do deal with so much negativity it’s ridiculous.
‘But I also think that those people are going to be negative regardless. There’s nothing you can do to please these people, but the good thing is they’re also telling you what they don’t like, so you can use that in your character.
‘Like I put on a suit vest and everybody on social media said, “He looks ridiculous, why does he have a suit vest? I hate the suit vest.”
‘So what am I going to do? I’m going to wear the suit vest. That’s my job, my job is to irritate you and you’re telling me how.’
