Eddie Hearn Details a Massive Problem with Avni Yildirim
The Turkish pugilist, Avni Yildirim, is set to touch gloves with the toughest opponent of his life, Canelo Alvarez. Though this fight comes with a high risk, at the same it offers equally captivating awards for Yildirim. He’s coming off a long 2-year break from the sport and moving into the main event, he’ll look to give it his best shot.
Prior to the fight, Canelo’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, was in an interview with his promotions’ official YouTube channel. Here he talked about the problem with Avni Yildirim.
Hearn believes Alvarez is a sheer favorite in this fight. But he feels Yildirim is too brave for his own good. The Matchroom supremo talked about Yildirim’s last fight against Anthony Dirrell. He felt that the fight could have gone either way, but the Turkish lost it through a TD.
Despite that loss, ‘Mr.Robot’ earned his title shot towards multiple super-middleweight straps. He’s confident and extremely optimistic about turning the tide in his favor once he enters the squared circle tonight.
Needless to say, Canelo Alvarez is his toughest test to date. But 29-year-old wants to leave no stones unturned in this fight.
He acknowledges Alvarez as one of the most prolific boxers of this generation and wants to fare his best against the staunch Mexican. If he puts on a win tonight, undeniably it’ll go down as the biggest upset of modern day boxing.
