Kaley Cuoco was left in tears after her husband Karl Cook surprised her ahead of Golden Globes night.

The Big Bang Theory actress’s new show The Flight Attendant has been given two nominations at this year’s ceremony, which is taking place virtually this evening.

Kaley has made no secret that the show was a passion project for her, having produced and starred in the series.

The actress revealed she was possibly going to be ‘attending’ the long-distance awards show alone because her equestrian husband was away for work – but Karl had other, more adorable ideas.

On Instagram stories, Kaley was seen crying with happiness as Karl managed to surprise her by returning home in time from Florida for the ceremony – hugging her as he joked ‘I was in the area’.

She told her fans: ‘Most of you know [Karl] has been away [at the Winter Equestrian Festival] for many weeks and has many more weeks of travel so I knew he wouldn’t be back to celebrate the globes with me.

‘The event is virtual so I wasn’t gonna force him to fly home for it, I knew he had a crazy schedule. Well I just answered the door and he came back!’

Karl was then seen waving as he stood in their living room and declared: ‘I showed up! I was in the area.’

‘I can’t believe you got me so good,’ the teary star told her husband as she hugged him. ‘I can’t believe you did that!’

She then cried and told him: ‘I’m so glad you’re here.’

Our hearts have officially melted guys.

Kaley landed her first personal nomination at the Golden Globes this year, despite spending 12 years as a lead in The Big Bang Theory.

She is up for the actress in a television series, musical or comedy gong, and is up against Lily Collins for Emily in Paris, Elle Fanning for The Great, Schitt’s Creek’s Catherine O’Hara and Jane Levy for Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist.

The series itself is also up for best TV comedy.

At least she knows whatever the outcome, she has Karl by her side for a fun night in together.

The Flight Attendant airs on HBO Max in the US and drops on Sky Atlantic in the UK from March 19.
