Maya Rudolph has been confirmed to host the upcoming Saturday Night Live – and we’re ready for her to bring back Kamala Harris.

The actress, who was a featured cast member from 1999-2007, has been making frequent drop ins to the series over the past years as the now Vice President of the United States.

Branding her the ‘funt’ (fun aunt) of the election special, the performance was so good even Kamala couldn’t help but approve.

Well, after last being seen the day of the election result, celebrating the democratic win alongside Jim Carrey’s Joe Biden, Maya will be coming back in the hosting position when SNL returns.

Joined by Jack Harlow as the musical guest, this could be one of the most bonkers episodes of SNL in years – with the opportunity for old favourites like Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader and Amy Poehler dropping by.

It’s become somewhat of a tradition for old cast members to make their return in support of their castmate if they were to host the show.

During Adam Sandler’s stint in May 2019, Kristen and Jimmy Fallon dropped by to appear in a Family Reunion skit with their pal.

Currently on its midseason break, the latest series as already had Adele, John Krasinski and Bridgerton’s Regé-Jean Page in the coveted hosting slot.

Nick Jonas hosted the mid-season finale, performing double duty and being the musical guest as well.

Saturday Night Live airs on NBC in the US.
