Stacey Solomon confirms July wedding to Joe Swash: ‘It actually feels real now’
Stacey Solomon has revealed she and Joe Swash will be getting married in July if lockdown is eased in the UK.
Following the government’s roadmap to lift restrictions by June, the Loose Women star is pressing ahead with planning her big day.
The realisation that she could actually be hitched this year became too much for the couple, and Stacey confessed they became emotional after receiving a confirmation email from their venue.
Sharing a screengrab of the email on her Instagram Stories, she said: ‘Just got this email through and I’m having a little cry…Joe defo has “watery eyes” as well…It actually feels real now.
‘I can’t believe in a few months I’ll be a Mrs. With all of my boys by my side…’
‘Hopefully if all is safe and well to do so…’ she added.
She posted a picture of herself cuddled up on the sofa with her husband-to-be and added: ‘I can not wait to marry you @realjoeswashy’.
The TV star showed off her excellent organisation by flicking through the pages of her wedding planning scrapbook, saying she is going to ask her friends to be bridesmaids soon.
‘I really hope all of you that have been waiting and planning so long now for your special day get the dream day that you deserve this year and that 2021 is full of all of the love that 2020 missed out on…’ Stacey wrote.
Former EastEnders star Joe popped the question to Stacey on Christmas Eve last year.
The couple have been together for four years, moving in together in 2018. The following year they welcomed son Rex, their first child together.
Stacey has two other sons, Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, from previous relationships, with Joe also having another son, Harry, 13.
