Piers Morgan went in on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview on today’s Good Morning Britain.

Just one day after the presenter slammed the Duke Of Sussex’s appearance on James Corden’s The Late Late Show, he lashed out at the upcoming no-holds-barred exclusive chat.

Kicking off the programme with his co-host Susanna Reid, Piers criticised the timing of the interview given that Prince Philip remains in hospital.

‘Maybe just cancel your interview Meghan, which is obviously going to cause great distress to your grandmother-in-law and your grandfather-in-law,’ he said.

‘It’s crass beyond belief. We all know it is.’

Piers then questioned what Prince Harry will do if ‘the worst should happen’.

‘Is he going to allow his whining from his LA mansion to go out on primetime TV on Sunday night?’ he asked. ‘It’s going to be a two-hour whine-a-thon about how tough his life is in his mansion in Santa Barbara in the middle of a global pandemic that has killed 2.5million people and left tens of millions of people destitute and penniless.’

‘I’m sorry, people know my views and I find it utterly nauseating,’ Piers added.

‘I think it’s going to be extremely bad for this country. I think it’s going to be fascinating how hard Oprah will go.’

US Network CBS announced that the royal couple had agreed to a tell-all interview with media mogul Oprah just one day after they revealed they were expecting their second child.

Oprah took a private jet to Santa Barbara and spent two days with the Sussexes to film the exclusive sit down chat, in which ‘no subject was off limits’.

Just days after recording this ‘tell-all’, Harry and Meghan confirmed they would not be returning to their roles as senior royals and as a result were officially stripped of their remaining royal privileges and patronages.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
