Seth Rogen launches his very own weed company as excited fans crash website: ‘This is just the beginning’
Seth Rogen has launched his own weed company, Houseplant, and we expected nothing less.
The This Is The End actor unveiled his new venture on Twitter, explaining that the brand has been a decade in the making.
Sharing a video on the platform, the 38-year-old began: ‘Hi, I’m Seth Rogen and if you know anything about me at all, I’m gonna assume it’s that I really love weed.
‘But what you probably don’t know about me is that I’ve been working on my own weed company for the last 10 years, and we are finally ready to launch in America.
‘It’s called Houseplant and what we’re doing is bringing you the best strains of weed that have been handpicked, by that I mean handsmoked, by me.
‘It’s just the weed that I love, that I wanna be smoking.’
Showing off the products, Seth continued: ‘It comes in these adorable little tins, we have an orange one for sativa, a purple one for indica, and it even stacks.
‘Another thing we’re doing is making beautiful house goods for people who smoke weed. We have things like this block table lighter, which is a table lighter with an ashtray for the lid.
‘I lose my lighters all the f**king time but no more, because this dude is hard to lose.
‘This is just the beginning, this is honestly my life’s work and I’ve never been more excited about anything. I hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much.’
Alongside the clip, he penned: ‘Almost ten years I go, I envisioned having my own weed company. And today I can say that my company Houseplant’s weed will be available in California next week!
‘Also, Houseplant is making lovely Housegoods like ashtrays, lighters, and YES, even ceramics. http://houseplant.com.’
Seth also blessed us all with a Pineapple Express throwback as he revealed the strain of weed he ‘smokes all day’.
‘This is our Pancake Ice sativa,’ he captioned another photo. ‘(All our strains are named after weather systems like we did with Pineapple Express). Our Pancake Ice is what I smoke all day. It’s over 33% THC.’
It seems as though fans were so thrilled by the Houseplant launch that they managed to crash the entire website.
The Knocked Up star isn’t the first A-Lister to venture into the weed business, with Snoop Dogg, Drake and Mike Tyson among the famous faces launching their own brands.
