Amanda Holden is officially radio and TV royalty after dressing up as the Queen of Hearts from Alice In Wonderland for World Book Day.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge never does anything by halves and she didn’t disappoint on this occasion, arriving for her Heart Radio Breakfast Show in full fancy dress costume.

Complete with a pair of dark shades, Amanda strutted across Leicester Square towards the Global Radio studios wearing a Queen of Hearts costume finished off with a headband of red hearts.

‘#OffWithTheirHeads,’ Amanda captioned an Instagram video of her quite literally spilling the tea once inside the studio.

She was joined in the photo shoot by her co-host Jamie Theakston, who dressed up as the Mad Hatter from the classic children’s book, and Ashley James as the titular Alice.

Reacting to Amanda’s teapot video, former Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness joked: ‘Whose holding the cup?’ to which Amanda quipped back: ‘An “ace” little courtier.’

Ashley Roberts commented: ‘Serve it siiiiis,’ while Chris Baber joked: ‘Bet the cleaner loves you.’

Amanda, 50, might be seeing more hearts in her future as she is reportedly favourite to host a new BBC One dating show

Similar to Cilla Black’s iconic Blind Date and Chris Tarrant’s 90s series Man O Man, the series is set to be a tongue-in-cheek, light entertainment show for all the family.

A source told the Daily Star: ‘Execs are thrilled to have Amanda on board.

‘She is perfect for a dating show because she has a great sense of humour. Everyone working on the show thinks she has the potential to be just like Cilla was years ago on Blind Date. There’s a lot of excitement about this.’

Sources added that the show will air at some point this year, after Amanda signed up last month.
