Daisy May Cooper has insisted she will ply us with all the ‘wonky knobs’ as she made her return to Instagram, after she suspended her own account in protest when publishers of her upcoming memoir forbid her from writing about an ex’s nethers.

Yesterday the This Country star had us in fits of giggles after sharing she’d taken a stand and deleted her account after she shared a recording of a meeting with bosses ahead of the release of her book, Don’t Laugh, It Will Only Encourage Her.

In the clip, which Daisy said was a ‘wind-up’ of her publishers, the star is heard saying it was a ‘dealbreaker’ if she wasn’t able to include a story about her ex-boyfriend, ‘who had a knob that bent massively to the left’.

Later, she shared another video in which she was getting a right talking to over the clip from the meeting, with a man on the phone letting her know they’re ‘a serious group of people’.

Telling her followers she was being pressured to take the clips down, Daisy decided to stick it to the man and instead delete her whole account in protest.

Luckily, the palaver was soon smoothed out and Daisy revealed she is allowed to dedicate the book to the aforementioned ex-boyfriend’s penis – but she did share that, due to Instagram’s rules, she wasn’t able to reinstate her account for 24 hours, in what became quite the dramatic story.

Finally able to bring us her hilarity online once again, Daisy shared a video update on Friday in which she thanked fans and let it be known this was not the last we’d witness of the ‘wonky knob’.

She said in her grand return: ‘Thank you so much for all the support you’ve given me because it was bloody brilliant and I love every single one of you.

‘Also, I want to quickly say I’m going to try, with everybody that’s bought a signed copy, to draw as many wonky knobs in there as I can.’

Telling us what the book was about, she went on: ‘It’s about me being a f**k up basically. I’ve made more mistakes than all the Chuckle Brothers episodes put together and I still haven’t learned from them. I’ve got the stripper story in there, the time I got f**ked on my own and tried to gate crash a 16-year-old’s disco…’

She also said the book mentions a producer who said she couldn’t play Kerry in This Country, giving him the what-for after winning four Baftas for the series. And, of course, writing a book.

She went on: ‘All you bastards who f**ked me off in the past you better be f**king worried because it’s going in.

‘So pre-order the book because I need the money as well.

‘I love you all, bye.’
