Gigi Hadid has said she’s ‘honoured’ to return to the runway after giving birth, as she thanked her ‘Italian Taurus queen’ Donatella Versace.

The new mum absolutely slayed the runway, as she returned to the catwalk just six months after welcoming her daughter Khai with Zayn Malik.

The brand digitally unveiled its autumn / winter 2021 collection, with Gigi stunning at the beginning of the video, as she rocked a new copper hair colour and bold blue eye make up.

Showing off some of the highlights on Instagram, the 25-year-old wrote: ‘Opening & closing @versace is always an honor and was the best come’back.’ ⚡️🌶

‘Mostly just lucky to be healthy, working, and in a safe/tested environment to hug so many I’ve missed like family this past year.

‘Thank you to everyone who made this possible, especially my Italian Taurus queen @donatella_versace always & forever 🧡🔑 & grazie for the major moments sweet @gvsgvs.’

She also shared a photo of herself relaxing in a Versace robe and getting her gorgeous makeup done, simply captioning it: ‘Surprise 🧡♟⚡️🌶’.

Gigi has wasted no time in getting back to work, after she gave birth to her daughter in September 2020 with the Pillowtalk hitmaker.

The couple kept their little one’s name a secret for months, before sweetly revealing it as Khai in January.

The star made headlines as she appeared on the cover of Vogue just months after introducing Khai – where she lifted the lid on her intense labour.

Chatting to the publication, she spilled the beans on the 14-hour home birth, which took place at her family ranch in Pennsylvania – with her loved ones by her side.

Mum Yolanda and sister Bella Hadid were on hand, as well as boyfriend Zayn and a midwife.

‘I had to dig deep. I knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life, but you have to surrender to it and be like, “This is what it is”. I loved that,’ she said, explaining that she went without painkillers.

‘There definitely was a point where I was like, I wonder what it would be like with an epidural, how it would be different.

‘My midwife looked at me and was like, “You’re doing it. No one can help you. You’re past the point of the epidural anyway, so you’d be pushing exactly the same way in a hospital bed.”‘

‘It didn’t even click that she was out. I was so exhausted, and I looked up and he’s holding her. It was so cute.’
