Joe Wicks is celebrating his last PE session ‘for a while’, after holding more than 100 in the past year alone.

We’re getting a bit emotional to be honest.

The Body Coach star has helped to keep us all fit and healthy throughout the ongoing pandemic with his online lessons, which he began at the start of the UK’s first national lockdown last March, and have since been viewed by millions across the world on his YouTube channel.

Joe has since announced that he will be putting the popular series to rest, as the UK government looks to easing lockdown restrictions in the coming months, with schools reopening this month, and gyms on April 12.

Taking to Instagram, Joe, 34, shared a snap of him alongside his wife Rosie Jones and their two children – Indie, two, and Marley, one – who were all dressed up in Easter-themed clothing to mark the final Fancy Dress Friday.

Joe and Indie opted to don duck costumes, while Rosie and Marley both wore matching bunny outfits.

He wrote: ‘That was the last PE with Joe for a while. It was so fun but also emotional.

‘It’s been almost a year since the first live workout on March 23rd 2020 and today was our 115th workout together.

‘In total the workouts have had 100 million views. Thank you so much for joining me.’

He added: ‘I hope you remember the good times we have all shared together.’

On his Instagram Stories, he also said immediately after the final session: ‘We did it, the very last PE with Joe.

‘Thank you for tuning in everybody, it’s been amazing, what a journey we’ve been on. I’ve loved every single workout and I hope you have too.

‘Have an amazing day and lots of love to you all.’

Joe also shared an image of his laptop screen showing the stats for the final PE class, which lasted for almost half an hour and had over 54,000 playbacks.

In a later video, he again thanked his fans for their support, as he said: ‘PE With Joe has honestly been the proudest thing I’ve ever done, and it wouldn’t have happened without you.

‘As you head back to school and life begins to return to normal, I really hope you remember these few things.

‘Number one: exercise makes us feel good. It gives us energy, it makes us feel happier.’

Referring to the unfortunate incident back in January when he farted live on camera, he then said: ‘Number two: never let an absolute ripper out off camera, because you never truly know if you’ve gone live or not.’

He added: ‘And lastly, my motto in life is simple. Work hard, have fun, and be nice.’

But it’s not over for the fitness star – as he’s also set to begin his new Super Sweat Saturdays sessions over on the Body Coach app.

We couldn’t be more proud of him.
