Some viewers of WandaVision were left frustrated as the high demand for the final episode caused Disney Plus to crash.

The streaming service was overwhelmed with demand for the finale episode meaning many were unable to access Disney Plus temporarily.

So many had tuned in to see how the story of the charmed married life of Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany) in Westview concluded, with a new chapter of the tale being opened up, that the platform could not cope with the demand.

Fans took to Twitter to share their frustration at not being able to watch the show, tweeting: ‘not yall making disney+ crash so i cant watch wandavision rn’.

Others added: ‘I’m full-blown p**sed at this point; sure, #WandaVisionFinale might crash at midnight; but I’ve been trying for TWO HOURS. #streamingfail #MCU #WandaVision #MCU #blunder’ and ‘How y’all crash #DisneyPlus watching #WandaVision’.

Fans had stayed up to watch the long-awaited final episode as it dropped but were unable to get onto it, complaining: ‘cannot believe i stayed up and did my work in order to watch the wandavision finale only for disney to crash lmao’.

Many had shared the error message they received when they tried to get onto the site, which read: ‘We’re sorry, but we cannot play the video you requested. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact Disney+ Support (Error Code 39).’

Downdetector, which tracks website crashes, also reported a large spike in reports from users that Disney Plus had experienced technical problems just after might Pacific Time, with more of the reports being based around the West Coast of the USA.

Fans had been eager to watch the last episode before any spoilers were revealed after Elizabeth previously alluded to an upcoming surprise guest appearance, which led to much excitement among fans trying to work out who it could be.

The nine-episode series has been a resounding success for Disney Plus, though there has been no word as of yet on if or when it may return for another.
