However, Aaron Rodgers and Co. suffered a humbling 26-31 defeat at the hands of eventual Super Bowl LV winners Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Championship finale. 37-year old Aaron Rodgers went for 346 yards with 3 passing TDs against 1 interception. Despite a disappointing end, the Packers quarterback won the NFL MVP award after throwing for 4,299 yards and 48 passing TDs against just 5 interceptions in the regular season.

Rodgers intends to return for the Packers in 2021. But right now his mind is focused elsewhere.

Aaron Rodgers gets candid in latest interview after NFL MVP award win

Aaron Rodgers confirmed earlier this year that he is engaged to popular Hollywood actress, Shailene Woodley. The two are expecting a child in the coming months.

In a recent interview with the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the now three-time NFL MVP spoke about his motivation factor while also talking about the secret behind his consistency in recent years.

He said, “Finding time, without the TV on or the phone, to sit in silence is healing. To be able to quiet your mind and have intentions and focus on the things that are important to you and kind of drown everything away. We live in a world where we’re just constantly being distracted and we need stimulation.”

“We have to have something inside us that drives us. I think there’s a competitive drive for excellence that every successful person has, and success to me isn’t about money or status. Success is about doing your absolute best and being comfortable looking in the mirror, going to sleep at night knowing you did your absolute best. That’s true success,” Rodgers said in the interview.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur will be expecting his star man to return with a vengeance in 2021. Young QB Jordan Love will remain on Green Bay’s bench this year as he continues his development. Can A-Rod manage to win one more Super Bowl title before parting ways with the Wisconsin-based franchise?
