Liverpool fans fly banner over Anfield reading ‘Unity is Strength – Let’s Go Reds – YNWA’ which gets mixed reaction

LIVERPOOL fans can’t be accused of having their heads in the clouds over the champions’ shocking plight in the Premier League.

But the decision of some to fly a banner over Anfield stating “Unity is Strength – Let’s Go Reds – YNWA” drew a mixed response during Sunday’s clash with Fulham.

Supporters who set up the plane talking obviously hope it will be banner from heaven after Liverpool’s title defence crumbled beyond repair.

But social media opinion on the message ranged from “lovely to see” and “at least it’s supportive” to “embarrassing” and pointless waste of time”.

Soon after Mario Lemina put the Cottagers in front just on half-time the banner was trailed overhead – loud and clear to hear because of the absence of fans down below.

But Fulham’s improving bid to move out of the drop zone was unfazed as Liverpoo battled to avoid a staggering SIXTH straight home defeat on Jurgen Klopp’s men.
