Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey is already making waves and it hasn’t even aired yet.

Whether you’re supporting Meghan like her Suits co-star Patrick J Adams, or believe that they’re in the wrong like Piers Morgan, the upcoming interview promises to be a must-watch for anyone interested in the Royal Family.

But focus on the Royals, and Meghan and Harry, is nothing new, with their relationship being under the spotlight from the start, becoming the centre of plenty of documentaries and fictional recreations.

So, if you want to be caught up on everything that happened, there’s plenty to be digging into.

Here are seven other shows and interviews to watch ahead of the latest chat dropping.

Harry and Meghan: An African Journey

First airing on ITV in October 2019, Harry and Meghan: An African Journey follows the couple during a tour of South Africa.

The film sees Harry explain his attachment to the country, with the couple and new parents talking about juggling their Royal duties with their philanthropic work and family life.

In a particularly sad moment, Meghan tells News At Ten actor Tom Bradby about how hard she found negative press against her when she was pregnant with Archie.

‘It’s been complicated. I’ve said for a long time to H, it’s not enough to just survive something, that’s not the point of life. You’ve got to thrive, you’ve got to feel happy,’ she told him.

‘I tried to adopt this British sensibility of a stiff upper lip. I tried, I really tried, but I think that what that does internally is probably really damaging and the biggest thing that I know is that I never thought this would be easy, but I thought it would be fair.’

Harry and Meghan: An African Journey is available on ITV Hub.

The Late Late Show: An Afternoon With Prince Harry and James Corden

An Afternoon with Prince Harry and James Corden is a light-hearted look at the fun side of the Royal, with fellow Brit James giving him a tour around Los Angeles.

In the 20-minute segment, James gives Harry his first tour on an open top bus, promptly covering him in tea, before trying to flog him the house from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

The interview shows the funny side to Harry, especially when trying to get James around an Army-style obstacle course, as well as more poignant reveals like his thoughts on The Crown.

Diana: In Her Own Words

It’s difficult to talk about Harry and Meghan’s life under the pressure of Royal binds and press, without talking about Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

Tragically killed in 1997, Diana was one of the first to openly speak out about her experience of life as Royal during her 1995 interview with Martin Bashir, which she may or may not have been tricked into.

Diana: In Her Own Words focuses on the recorded discussions she had with a speech coach, during which she talked about her life with Charles, his affair with Camilla Parker-Bowles, and her battle with bulimia.

Released in 2017, the documentary opens up just how much of a toll it took on her.

Diana: In Her Own Words is available on Netflix.

The Crown

The Crown has always come under fire about how accurate it really is, with the series recounting Queen Elizabeth’s reign through to modern day.

While it never denies they made up what the characters have said, the series is based around historical fact – which in season four includes the marriage and downfall of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Prince Harry himself has also somewhat given his seal of approval of the show, stating to James Corden it ‘gives you a rough idea’ of what life is like.

Speaking to James, he said: ‘They don’t pretend to be news. It’s fictional. But it’s loosely based on the truth.

‘Of course it’s not strictly accurate, of course not but loosely it gives you a rough idea about what that lifestyle, the pressures of putting duty and service above family and everything else, what can come from that.’

‘I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family or my wife or myself.’

The Crown is available on Netflix.

Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance

With the nearly constant criticism of Harry and Meghan, it’s almost difficult to believe that at one point, they were considered the golden couple of the Royal Family.

And sometimes, you need to look away from the seriousness of everything and watch something light-hearted – so in that case, this is the one for you.

Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance is a fictional retelling of how the couple met and fell in love in the run-up to their wedding.

Murray Fraser and Parisa Fitz-Henry play the young lovers, and how they dealt with life when they were thrust into the spotlight.

It’s super cheesy and melodramatic, but it’s a good little break from all the real life drama.

Harry and Meghan: A Royal Romance is available on Amazon Prime Video.

Harry and Meghan vs the Monarchy

Channel 5 dropped this documentary just days before the interview with Oprah dropped, so if this is probably your best shot if you want to get up to speed.

Filled with royal commentators and journalists, the show focuses on how a positive start to Harry and Meghan’s romance turned sour.

It also looks over the accusations of Royal rifts, and the bullying claims Meghan has found herself facing over the past week.

It even features teaser clips of the Oprah interview – it’s that fresh. Literally bringing you up to date ahead of the new bombshells that are about to drop.

Harry and Meghan vs the Monarchy is available on Channel 5.

Oprah with Meghan and Harry airs tomorrow at 9pm on ITV in the UK.
