Last month, The Walking Dead finally returned with the release of new episodes for its 10th season, shedding more light on the backstory of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and his wife Lucille (Hilarie Burton) and providing viewers with answers concerning Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus).

In the latest episode released on AMC in the US, fans finally learn how Daryl came to be in the company of his adorable canine companion Dog, a question that many people have been asking for years.

In a series of flashback scenes set five years prior to the episode’s present day, Daryl also encounters a woman called Leah (Lynn Collins), who makes quite a mark on him in the time they spend together.

So who is Leah, how was she involved with Daryl and what else has Lynn starred in?

Who is Leah and how was she involved with Daryl?

In episode 18 of The Walking Dead season 10, titled Find Me, Leah is introduced as a past acquaintance of Daryl.

The episode follows what Daryl got up to in the years following the disappearance of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln).

After a mysterious dog leads Daryl to a cabin, he comes face to face with Leah, who doesn’t take too kindly to a stranger trespassing on her territory.

However, after initially getting off on the wrong foot, Daryl and Leah eventually form a romantic relationship.

Despite forging a close connection, one day Daryl returns to the cabin to find that Leah has vanished, leaving a note that reads: ‘Find Me.’ So does he?

What else has Lynn starred in?

Lynn previously starred in True Blood as Dawn Green, a co-worker of Anna Paquin’s Sookie Stackhouse.

Her other notable roles include starring in X-Men Origins: Wolverine as Wolverine’s love interest Kayla Silverfox and in 2012 sci-fi film John Carter as Dejah Thoris.

How many more seasons of The Walking Dead are there?

In September 2020, it was announced that The Walking Dead was to come to an end after its 11th season, which is due to conclude in 2022.

However, that doesn’t mean it’s the end of all The Walking Dead-related content, as a spin-off focusing on Daryl and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) is in development, with a release date set for 2023.

The Walking Dead seasons one to 10 are available to watch on NOW TV and Sky On Demand.
