Beyonce’s mum launches scathing attack on Piers Morgan as Alex Beresford praised over row

Beyonce’s mum has launched a scathing attack on Piers Morgan, following his dramatic walk-off on today’s Good Morning Britain.

The host stormed off during a heated chat with Alex Beresford, who called him out over comments he made about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview with Oprah.

In the tense scenes which have been praised around the world, the show’s resident weatherman said: ‘I understand that you don’t like Meghan Markle you’ve made that so clear a number of times on this programme.

‘I understand that you’ve got a personal relationship with Meghan Markle or had one and she cut you off.

‘She’s entitled to cut you off if she wants to. Has she said anything about you since she cut you off? I don’t think she has but yet you continue to trash her.’

Piers walked out at this point, fuming that he was being ‘trashed’ on his ‘own show’.

Having absolutely none of it, Tina Knowles shared the footage on her Instagram page, stating that the host was ‘showing his true colours’ with his actions.

Beside the clip, she penned: ‘So Piers Morgan stormed off because he can dish it out but he can’t take it!!!!

‘Is he 5 years old or what!!!!!!! No concern for Archie whatsoever!!! Looks to me like he’s saying. “How dare this black man reprimand me . On national tv. Only I can do that”

“‘I can drag Meghan But you cannot call me out!!!” Morgan has always felt superior White and British at that!!! !!! He has always felt his White privilege!!

‘He is showing his true colours literally!!!!’

Tina also jumped to Alex’s defence over his comments, concluding the post with the line: ‘They better not come for Alex for telling the truth!!!!!’

ITV has faced calls from furious viewers to sack Piers after he discussed Meghan and Harry’s Oprah interview, stating that he didn’t believe the Duchess’ comments on having suicidal thoughts

ITV CEO Dame Carolyn McCall has now addressed his words during ITV earnings conference, in which she revealed they were ‘dealing’ with the calls for Piers to step down.

Asked if the host would lose his job over the comments, or if he had the support of the network, Dame Carolyn said: ‘We are dealing with that as we speak’ and ‘I’m not making any comments on this’.

She insisted the network was ‘totally committed to’ mental health, and that ‘everyone’ has to listen and believe those who are facing challenges, standing by Meghan.

According to PA, she added: ‘I completely believe what she (Meghan) said, that the most important thing with mental health that ITV does and is totally committed to, is that we support, we get people to speak up, we listen, we say everyone has to listen and everyone has to believe because that’s how you get people to speak up. So we are very committed to that.’
