Daisy May Cooper has revealed she’s been in hospital over the past few days in the most Daisy May Cooper fashion.

The This Country actress, who recently has been on crutches after injuring her leg, disclosed she’d been taken in for medical treatment after suffering from kidney stones, which can lead to kidney infections or the kidney not working properly if left untreated.

Taking to Instagram to share the news of her trip to A&E, Daisy posted a picture smiling from her hospital bed with a bedpan on her head.

Classic.

‘Eurgh, worst couple of days,’ she captioned the snap. ‘Been in hospital with bloody kidney stones 😫. The nurses have made me my own hat to cheer me up. Absolute bloody beauts 😇 😍 💖.’

A number of celebrities rallied around the star and wished her a speedy recovery.

Ulrika Jonsson posted: ‘That’s bloody painful! I’d rather push out my 4 Ungratefuls in long succession than go through that. Get better sooooon.’

Susanna Constantine added: ‘You poor thing! More painful than childbirth. But worth it for the hat. Feel better xx.’

Spice Melanie C added: ‘The lengths people will go to get out the house and have breakfast in bed eh! Speedy recovery we need you back talking knobs ASAP.’

Daisy’s hospitalisation comes days after she promised ‘as many wonky knobs’ as possible in her upcoming new book after she clashed with her agents over the inclusion of a story about an ex-boyfriend’s bent penis.

Teasing what her memoir will be about, Daisy wrote: ‘‘It’s about me being a f**k up basically. I’ve made more mistakes than all the Chuckle Brothers episodes put together and I still haven’t learned from them. I’ve got the stripper story in there, the time I got f**ked on my own and tried to gate crash a 16-year-old’s disco…’

She also said the book mentions a producer who said she couldn’t play Kerry in This Country, giving him the what-for after winning four Baftas for the series. And, of course, writing a book.
