Mother of the groom blasted for being ‘jealous’ and ‘disrespectful’ for wearing a white BRIDAL gown to her son’s wedding

BRIDES can rest easy knowing that no one will outshine them on their wedding day, and that all eyes will be on them.

That is unless your mother-in-law decides to wear a near-identical bridal gown on your big day – a nightmare all too real for one bride.

An image from the nuptials was shared on Reddit, with users shaming the mother of the groom for her seemingly obvious attempt to out-do the bride.

The snap shows the new happy couple standing alongside the groom’s mum, with all three faces hidden behind emojis to keep their identities a secret.

The bride is dressed in a white lace gown, typical of many traditional weddings.

And if not for her husband’s arm wrapped around her waist, you’d think the other woman in the photo – the mother-in-law – was most certainly the bride.

Social media users were pretty fired up and called the woman “jealous” and “disrespectful” for her outfit choice[/caption]

The offending woman showcased her own glamorous gown which was considerably more glam.

It featured sheer cutouts and sparkly embroidery across the torso.

It’s unknown who the family is or if the bride was angered by the outfit choice, but it seems Redditors are pretty fired up on her behalf.

“Oh good lord. She’s just making a fool of herself. I would frame the photo and give it to her to take to work,” one said.

And another added: “Like how the son is angled away from her but she still clearly has her arm around him. Congrats on alienating your son for life!”

It’s…a wedding dress. Also more revealing than the bride’s dress, hitting two no-nos with one stone.

Shocked, a third wrote: “It’s…a wedding dress. Also more revealing than the bride’s dress, hitting two no-nos with one stone.”

One chimed in admitting they’d be “super upset, especially since the MIL’s dress is prettier(imo) and more revealing.”

They continued: “The only way this is acceptable is if the bride explicitly okay this dress beforehand. Even then, the MIL asking for permission to do so would be pretty ballsy.”

Others called the mother-in-law “disrespectful,” a “scumbag,” a ‘cheap tacky floozy,” and “appalling” – she was even labelled a “jealous, insecure b****.”
