Ranvir Singh made a dig at Piers Morgan as she shared her reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview on today’s episode of Good Morning Britain.

Piers quit the show after he sparked 41,000 Ofcom complaints for bashing Meghan’s revelation that she had suicidal thoughts but was urged not to seek help as it would ‘look bad’ on the Royal family

After Ranvir and Susanna Reid kicked off the episode by addressing the presenter’s departure from the ITV programme, the duo discussed her opinion on the tell-all chat.

‘I’ll tell you what, I didn’t make any comment about it until after I saw it on ITV,’ Ranvir said. ‘You know when you watch clips and then the whole echo chamber and everybody saying things…

‘I felt you would have to have a cold heart to not feel something. Just the idea that somebody is feeling that way, I think you have to have a heart and you feel something for that person.’

Ranvir’s comments come after her former colleague Piers stated that he ‘doesn’t believe’ Meghan’s revelation that she considered suicide while pregnant with son Archie.

‘Who did you go to? What did they say to you? I’m sorry, I don’t believe a word she said, Meghan Markle,’ Piers said on Monday’s show.

‘I wouldn’t believe it if she read me weather report. The fact that she’s fired up this onslaught against our Royal family I think is contemptible.’

Piers doubled down on his opinion today, by adding that he still ‘doesn’t believe’ anything the Duchess of Sussex said in her interview with Oprah.

Hours after announcing his departure from GMB, Piers tweeted on Wednesday morning: ‘On Monday, I said I didn’t believe Meghan Markle in her Oprah interview.

‘I’ve had time to reflect on this opinion, and I still don’t. If you did, OK.

‘Freedom of speech is a hill I’m happy to die on. Thanks for all the love, and hate. I’m off to spend more time with my opinions.’

He included a photo of Winston Churchill with the quote: ‘Some people’s idea of free speech is that they are free to say what they like, but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage.’

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
