Married At First Sight Australia’s Sam Ball almost came clean about his affair with Ines Basic, telling Bronson Norrish everything.

MAFS viewers were left with their jaws on the floor when Ines and Sam got together behind their partners’ backs while filming for season six.

Despite the show airing in 2019, Bronson revealed he is still waiting for an apology from the pair over their actions.

During a chat with Metro.co.uk, he also recalled the moment his co-star very nearly spilled the beans on their scandalous romance.

‘I definitely was blindsided, as in I thought Sam and her were nice enough to tell me,’ he told us. ‘I give Sam props, he did try to warn me.

‘He didn’t actually get the chance to, he pulled me aside and was about to tell me something was going on, but the producers saw us and pulled us apart really quickly.

‘But I did have an underlying suspicion that Ines was like that all the way through. I did give my best shot, but I definitely got played.’

Viewers watched on as Bronson appeared to get closer with Ines, who was trying to stay in the experiment to keep her fling with Sam going.

However, the former stripper insisted that he wanted out in the very first week, after their awkward wedding and doomed honeymoon, but producers changed his mind.

‘My plan was to leave the first week, but the producers convinced me to stay, and were like, “Ines says that she really likes you, you should stay and give a go. She’s only this way because she’s really nervous around you”,’ he claimed.

‘The producers are really in your ear about wanting me to stay, so I gave it the extra week when I probably shouldn’t have. And the second week, I was like, “No, I’ve had enough”.’

Talking about what eventually cemented his decision to leave, Bronson claimed he overheard Ines slating him in an on-camera interview.

‘They do things called a proxy, where they pull you aside… you go and do an activity together, then they pull you aside, separately, and ask one person for a while, “What do you think about this? How do you feel? Blah blah blah…”,’ he added. ‘Then that person goes away and they do one on you.

‘I overheard what Ines thought of me, and it wasn’t very nice.

‘I was like, ”Oh, I’ve been misled this whole entire time.” And that made me realise that obviously she’d been lying to me the entire time. And that was my decision to leave.’

Bronson has never looked back from his decision to depart the experiment, and is currently loved up with new girlfriend Hayley Wallis.

Married At First Sight Australia is available to stream now on All4.
