Michelle Keegan is main attraction at local Co-op on snack run while filming Brassic as fans flock for a selfie
Michelle Keegan caused quite the commotion at a local Co-op store in Yorkshire while taking a break from filming Brassic.
The actress, 33, is currently filming for the third season of the Sky comedy series in which she plays feisty Erin Croft.
She stars in the much-loved show with Joe Gilgun (who plays Vinnie O’Neil) and was seen filming scenes with her co-star before squeezing in a break from filming to reset and recharge.
Probably feeling a little peckish or in need of a mid-work pick me up maybe, Michelle stopped by the Co-op, only to be flagged down by a group of excited fans who had spotted her.
Cue the group instantly reaching for their phones for a selfie or two.
Michelle, who was rocking a green tracksuit and black biker boots, probably made their day, as she was seen stopping for a quick chat and a photo.
She was wrapped up in a white padded coat and made sure to mask up while out and about, as she was joined by security from set.
When she wasn’t being mobbed on her snack run, Michelle was hanging out on location with the rest of the cast and crew.
She and Joe were spotted chilling out together in between filming takes, with the pair engrossed in something Michelle was showing Joe on her phone.
Filming for series three of Brassic got underway last year amid the coronavirus lockdown and things on set haven’t been exactly plain sailing, as production was halted in September due to a crew member testing positive for Covid.
Commenting on the delays to filming, an insider told The Sun at the time: ‘The safety of the cast and crew is of the utmost importance, so until bosses know it’s totally safe filming won’t be going ahead.’
The delay came just as Michelle was due to start filming, with the source adding: ‘Michelle was due to start filming this week, but nothing is happening until they’re sure it’s safe.’
A spokesperson for Brassic later confirmed: ‘Throughout this time, the safety of our colleagues and customers remains our number one priority.
‘Brassic production has paused with cast and crew now self-isolating. We will return to production as soon as it is safe to do so.’
Fans will be eagerly waiting for the third season to drop, especially after season two’s cliffhanger that saw Vinnie declare he has feelings for Erin while being carted off by police, after attempting to steal a wedding – as you do.
Erin was then seen whispering something into Vinnie’s ear, but fans are yet to find out what she said.
Since then, a new trailer has dropped for Brassic’s new series and it’s teased ‘chaos is coming’ as the gang reunite for more scheming like never before.
‘Thrilling, funny and specially extended to eight episodes, the new season sees the friends thrown deeper and deeper into trouble,’ a synopsis for series three teases.
‘With pressure building from the Police and crime boss Mr. McCann, Vinnie is forced to ruthlessly take no prisoners in his bid to escape. Bigger, bolder and more bonkers than ever, it’s a hectic world of bulls, snakes, kidnappings, betrayal, and this time, a full-size horse… It’s classic Brassic!’
Brassic is available to watch via Sky catch up and Now TV.
