Dani Dyer targeted by cruel body-shamers after son Santiago’s birth: ‘Some men had commented I was huge’
Dani Dyer has been subjected to a barrage of vile body-shamers since giving birth to her son Santiago in January.
In discussion at the recent The Baby Show Live @ Home, the 24-year-old is reported to have said she has regularly been left in disbelief following cruel comments from trolls.
Dani said: ‘I’d just had Santi, and I remember seeing some men had commented saying “Oh god, she’s huge!”‘
The former Love Island star, who welcomed her son with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence, defiantly added: ‘I’ve just had a baby, for God sake leave me alone!
‘I try never to look at comment sections because I know as soon as I click that button, I’m going to get hurt,’ Dani continued.
She admitted that people thought she was ‘used to’ the constant trolling as the daughter of soap star Danny Dyer, but the comments had ‘never been directed to her’.
Now? She has also endured messages from ‘unhelpful’ and ‘unsupportive’ women – some of which claiming she would ‘suffocate’ and ‘overheat’ her son after she shared a picture of little Santiago wearing a coat while in the car seat.
‘I had messages from women like, “You’re gonna make him suffocate. He’s gonna overheat in the car. If you have a car crash, he’s not gonna be safe or protected.”
‘I was like, “Oh my god, why are you even saying that to me.”‘
This isn’t the first time Dani has addressed the incident. In a recent Instagram post, she claimed: ‘My child was not in the car in his outfit okay, in the pram suit, whatever you want to call it.
‘He just goes on walks with that outfit on. I’m not going to overheat my child, don’t worry about it.’
Dani welcomed son Santiago via an unplanned C-section on January 23.
