Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez ‘love each other and want to keep working on things’ after the couple denied rumours they had split up.

Page Six had been the first to report that the couple had parted ways, the pair have since said they are very much still together.

A source told People: ‘They were having problems before she left for the Dominican Republic. Filming made it worse because they haven’t been able to see each other much in person. But they love each other and want to keep working on things.’

Jennifer is currently filming Shotgun Wedding in the Domimican Republic, while Alex has been sharing photos of himself on a yacht in Miami.

The couple have been together since 2017 and engaged since 2019 but were forced to move their wedding twice due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Following the rumours of a split, TMZ claims JLo and A-Rod have said: ‘All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.’

TMZ has also been told the ‘things’ they’re working on have ‘nothing to do with a third party’.

An insider had also previously told People: They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up.’

They added: ‘She’s working in the Dominican Republic and he’s in Miami so it’s tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and Covid but they want to try to stay together.’

Jennifer had also previously told Elle of them cancelling their wedding, which was due to take place in Italy, after it became one of the worst hit with coronavirus.

She said at the time: ‘We postponed the wedding twice. We had planned what we really, really wanted to do, [but] I don’t know if we’ll be able to re-create that.

‘We cancelled it, and since then we haven’t really talked about it. There’s no rush. We want to do it right when we can do it.’
