Tyson Fury Promises to Take Out Deontay Wilder in One-Two Rounds: ‘I’ll Absolutely Destroy Him Next Time’

Tyson Fury knocks down Deontay Wilder in their boxing fight

Heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, has spoken about his rival Deontay Wilder and a possible trilogy between the two. The undefeated Fury explained how he would beat Wilder if they were to enter the ring again. He predicted an even easier fight than the second.

The Wilder-Fury saga looked like it had ended when Fury dismantled the former champion in February 2020. However, later in the year, the American posted a bizarre video accusing Fury of cheating and calling for a trilogy.

Fury has now addressed the possibility of a trilogy. ‘The Gypsy King’ spoke to iFL TV on YouTube and said, “Maybe one day he’ll [Wilder] have to fight me again. But when he does, I’ll absolutely destroy him next time. Even if he easier than I did this time. This time wasn’t even a boxing match. It wasn’t even a contest.”

The undefeated champion then reminded everyone of how easy the second fight was for him. He said, “He hit me about three times in seven rounds. This time I’m going to take him out in one-two rounds. Proper annihilate him. Hot through him like a hot knife through butter. Cut him down like cheese.”

The first fight ended in a draw, and therefore, Fury was a little apprehensive in the rematch. However, this comment showed Fury would not hold back this time around. To some fans, it didn’t seem like he was holding anything back, and many may wonder what level he could reach if he claims that he held back in February.

Is a trilogy between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder possible?

The Englishman has previously stated the Wilder chapter is over for him. However, he may have to face the American in the future if Wilder can work himself up to being the WBC mandatory.

Fury has revealed he has two fights this year and will fight anyone. However, it looks like those two fights will be against Anthony Joshua. Therefore, the trilogy looks unlikely this year. This gives Wilder time to work his way back to a title shot.

Fury has since admitted he is open to fighting Wilder again. And ‘Bronze Bomber’ would jump at the opportunity to get his revenge on the Englishman. Therefore, the trilogy between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder is a real possibility.

What do you make of these comments from Tyson Fury? Do you think ‘Gypsy King’ would find it this easy against Deontay Wilder?
